Pre alpha conversion?

I was wondering if there is another kind of outdrive that will bolt on in place of a pre alpha. Just wondering because I am likely going to replace mine and seems like later models are much more common and parts are more easily found.

As usual any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Depends on what you are calling a Pre Alpha. Year and engine model.
