I have Pre alpha mecruiser, just installed new water pump. Now when I put it in reverse it kills the engine. The shifter will go back but it won't engage in reverse. when we put the lower gear case on we turned the shift shaft clockwise, turned prop counter clock wise with shifter in forward position. I'm lost. Anyone have any idea? Thanks
