Good morning all. New here. From Roselle Illinois. I am finishing up a 1970 Starcraft trihull. My high pressure hose from the oildyne pump to the bell housing is leaking. Is there a secret to getting the other end of the hose off the manifold in the bell housing? This is pre alpha. Power trim hoses do not go under the out drive. Do I need to pull the bell housing? I added a pic. The area circled is where the hoses end. I cans see a way of getting a tool to them.

That doesn't look factory, appears to be added by a prior owner.
Would be interested to here more about it, maybe Bt Doctur or Bondo

It is factory. Its a 1970 Pre Alpha. if you look at the reference picture you see the pre bent cylinder hoses. That's how you buy them. The pictures above are not mine. My boat is still together. Someone sent me the pictures so I can actually see how they were connected. .

It looks like it might be a modified 120 / 140 1967-1969 Mercruiser 120, 140 & 160 With Power Trim Parts List serial number range 2062141 - 2791956.

But it looks like the factory flexible lines were replaced with those hard lines???
Maybe at some time there was a conversion kit available????

Not sure if I can link this.

I looked in manual number 1 which comes all engines and drives above and below your year and there is nothing like that. In views at BAM for the transom assembly, they show the lines coming out the bottom as others.

That gimbal housing is pre 69. That is the original set up. As we all know by now just because the boat is on year does not mean the drive platform year.
I used to get a trim block from a 70s and up, 6 stainless 30” trim hoses, mount the trim block @ 12 o clock over the gimbal housing with the hoses going through the transom to the pump and reverse lock valve then to the rams. Then just pinch off the old lines. The customers loved it because it saved them some $ for labor. Otherwise the engine would have to come out and the outer gimbal housing had to be stripped.
I am showing my age again.
