1989 200h .p. yamaha This is a continuation of a unresolved problem.Specifically, the engine mounted oil tank is not getting any oil.The pump does not turn on when key switch is turned on.My volt meter shows 12 volts going to main tank sensor however no voltage is going to the pump when the key switch is turned on..When bypassed oil pump works. The float sensors in oil tank mounted on engine seems to function alarm goes off when oil level goes down and alarm resets when oil is added.Assuming wires are in good working order which appears to be the case ,is there a way of checking the oil injection module, the bypass switch does not work. This issue started on a intermittent basis but now is permenant.I have researched many threads unfortunately finding nothing specific to these symptoms of a 1989 200h.p. yamaha.Updated question do the wires that plug into the oil control unit assembly come out, from the box itself,it looks to the eye that there is a rubber type plug going in directly, however I dont want to pull them unless Im sure. Also while attempting to trouble shoot what does the term swb stand for? In dealing with floats and sensors. What would cause a drop in voltage from main tank sensor to pump?

You said when bypassed the oil pump works, but then say that the bypass switch doesn't work? Did you put 12v directly on the pump to "bypass" it?

Might be a dumb question, but is the oil level gauge (in the main tank) stuck in the up position?

Re: precicision blend issue

The engine oil tank sensors appear to be functioning, alarm does sound when oil level becomes low and resets when filled. One concern I see is my lcd gauge flashes only once and then sets on green. The other gauge flashes 3 times then sets on green and that motor is working.Does the oil injection module control this? The pump does work when connected to battery.

I had a similar issue. The tank would not refill automatically but the alarm did go off when low. Itermittent at first then I could only get the switch to engage if I jiggled it around by hand. Since I could get it to work this way I was able to test that it was the float switch that was faulty. Turns out that there is a metal strip running inside the stem that the float rides on and part of it was turning green with corrosion. Replaced the float/sender and all was good.
