I just noticed this article where Bill Clinton says he thinks Presidents should be able to stand for three terms...Bill Clinton - extra term <br /><br />Do you think he wants "W" to get an extended run ? ;)

Why not? Senators are elected numerous times with no limits. So why not make the presidency the same way? If people dont like them, they will not get re-elected. I dont like the the fact that they are not limited.<br /><br />Either that or limit terms on senate and congress, to get some of the rats out of there like Tom Daschel and Ted Kennedy.<br /><br />The president cant buy votes like congress and the senate can, since he is on a national level and the others are on a state level.

There should be a nationwide drive to get limits on both the Congress, and the Senate, it was never meant, and should not be a career job. Limit the senate to one term (six yrs) and the Congress to three terms (six yrs). Do not offer a retirement pension. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I agree with lakeman with one exception, when one of those fools says something stupit like a 350 billion dollar tax cut will mean a 1 trillion dollar defacit, that fool should be shown the door the next day. Or better yet the idiot that says a family of four with a househyold imcome of 60 grand is rich should have to move in and live with a family of four with an income of 60 grand.
