I have an 87 merc 60hp serial # 9474837 and while i have found it to be an excellent motor in terms of reliability and performance on my fairly light rib, now wish to fit the above instrumentation. I have had a look at various web sites including the teleflex one but cannt seem to sort out exactly which sender units I would need.

could anybody provide the info that would enable me to identify the senders and gauges that i would need and a us dealer that would mail them to a us address or send them overseas to the uk?

"WestMarine.com" should fix you right up. Your pressure guage choices are "0-15 psi" or "0-30 psi". I use the "0-15" for all of my mercs. The temp guage is pretty generic with mercury and westmarine has them. You should be able to pick them both up for less than $100.00 US. Many different style bezels too..... Gotta luv it...

Thanks alot bushcat. Today I had a look at the westmarine site but it was down. What I think i will do is look tomorrow from work and email them quoting my engine spec etc and get them to advise on suitable senders, fitting kit and guages. I can always look on the teleflexmorse site at the various gauges for a good pic. Since the UK pound is so strong against the us $ I will get them to mail it over to the uk instead of sending it to my mate in tx who then brings it over on his regular trips back to the uk. The only instruement kits available in the uk are the ob oem kits and they are usual a very high price. Again many thanks. Are ribs popular in the us? The boating sort not the edible sort!
