Pressure building while filling drive and slow drain

Hello all. Working on a Alpha 1 gen 2. Did an impeller yesterday (3rd time) went quick. When I was filling the drive it felt like it was building pressure as the fluid reached the top screw. Popped the screw in and kept pumping, it built so much pressure I couldnt hold the fitting in the bottom, it blew gear oil all over me. Fluid did make it too the reservoir. The drive was still in the up position. Wondering if hose from drive to bottle kinked? Now draining in the down position, it's draining super slow.

Did you take the cap off the bottle ?

Yeah, cap off and top screw out too

That is a puzzler, top screw out of the drive and it still builds pressure, That could only be the hole which allows lube to pass from lower to upper. A chunk of crud maybe
