Is it normal that the pressure cap at the expansion tank leaks a little of antifreeze right after you fill it up?
Does anyone know a replacement model I can find at an auto parts? The original Volvo model is 829205 I believe is a 4psi

Re: pressure cap leak

If it leaks a little and don't overheat?? It could be just the antifreeze expanding?
Any corrosion?
You can try finding one at an auto parts store???
Or the Volvo auto dealer?? Call them with the part # ???

If you fill the reservoir all the way to the cap, yes it will blow coolant out. The coolant needs room to expand as it gets hotter.
Run it one time after filling, then check the level when cold again, but don't refill it. Make another run and see if the level stays the same after it cools down again. It should hold then.
