My 1999 50 HP Mercury 2 stroke blew the power head this Spring . I installed a new OEM Mercury power head and I need something to tell me how hot the engine is running. I was told by a mercury tech to install a pressure gauge and not worry about the temperature gauge. I would really like to have both. This engine is on a pontoon boat and no alarms are working.
| Serial Number | 0t096196 for engine. The pontoon has a place to install two more gauges that are 2 inch in size. I know I am supposed to install a pressure gauge on top plug of block but not sure where to order one. I also don't know where to put the temperature sending unit to tell me what temps this engine is running. Thanks for any help. Tom |
