I am rebuilding a 2-line pressure tank, I need to recoat the cork float. The original coating is peeling and seems to be shellac or varnish. What coating is recommended for use with todays fuel? Any help would be appreciated.

I have hear of people "painting" them with fuel resistant epoxy. Rick

Epoxy is fine. You can make it easier to 'paint' by thinning with a little isopropyl alcohol ("rubbing alcohol").

Epoxy is fine. You can make it easier to 'paint' by thinning with a little isopropyl alcohol ("rubbing alcohol"). I use on RC model firewalls to keep the wood from soaking up 2 stroke fuel.
