Just wondering, On the rust prevention line....
We are planning on lifting the boat off the trailer, doing the normal maintainace we do each year, plus replacing bunks, winch strap etc.... The yearly rust removal and repaint included.
As a painter, I know paint, and every year, we use the good stuff, marine grade oil, poly fortafied, rust inhibiting spread it on thick and gooy stuff.
The problem, on step areas, fender tops etc, it gets scratched, rusts and then peels....
Just wondering is anyone has tried useing the bed liner coating with any sucess?
Im thinking, thicker scratch rsistant film, water proof, flexable, come in shaker cans at the auto parts store, , can have a traction additave applied while still wet, and if it lasts more then a year, it might be a better option.
Any experiance or thoughts?????
