I have an estimate for $5800 for a 4.3 NEW jasper longblock replacement, including new ignition parts, a new shift cable, new gimble bearing, new tilt sensor and a full outdrive service... Sound about right?
To me it sounds like a good deal.

^ And that is what is most important.

That price sounds pretty good for a service shop to R & R your engine with a new block, go through the boats mechanical systems with new parts and inspect & service items that needs preventive maintenance. About the only way to get it done at a lower cost would be to do it all yourself.

Is a new sea water pump impeller included as well?
