Price differences.......

I went the other day and bought a couple cases of filters for the return air vents in my house. I purchased them from a A/C supply house last year because none of the big box stores had the sizes I needed and I was in a bind and had to have them. Well, this year a new H'Depot opened up in the town where I work and they had the sizes I needed. The price difference was $60 less a case than the A/C supply house and they are the exact same filter.

My guess EF is that the local warehouse charged you "suggested list" price. A lot of wholesalers do that so they are not accused of undermining their wholesale contractors and dealers.

Same thing happened to me with a replacement under cabinet fluorescent light. Stopped by an electrical supply store (matter of connivance) on the way home from work one eve. Price $28.99 plus tax, priced the identical light at Lowes that week end $12.99, go figure.

Might be 'cause the local supply houses sell only 10 cases a week whereas the Big Orange and Blue stores might sell 1000 cases a week nationwide. <br />Does make ya mad when you find out post purchase though.

That's "Ocean Front Property" in Ari Zone uh, The swamp land is in Florida, It called Miami Beach.

I bought "Heart Gaurd" dog wormer at Pet Smart for $17.99 a box. The exact same size box at my local feed store is $4.75. How about that difference?
