Not real sure how to add to older post. Anyways as you may or not remember, my fuel pickup seemed to have failed. WRONG.. after pulling it out, i blew a gob of slime, caulk, crud, stuff out of the pickup tube. WTH, this stuff came from inside the tank.. Now i just want to know if there is anything out there (product) that will breakdown any alge, slime, contaminates in the tank or do i have to siphen the 35 gallons i just put in the tank on the way home from the water??

Thanks again, and if not for the eairlier suggestions, i would have never found the prob...

Either siphon the crud out or install an in line fuel filter/water seperator if you don't have one now and check the filter frequently.

Seafoam is good, but not for what you are describing. It is used to keep the engine free of carbon/deposits.

You need to install a 10 micron (minimum) Racor inline filter.

The filter is a good idea to keep crap out of the carb, but it doesn't solve your original problem of your pickup tube in the tank getting plugged by crap.

There are filters you can get for the end of the pickup tube, you can also make your own using some stainless steel mesh and a hose clamp. It doesn't need to be a fine mesh because all you want to do is stop gobs of crud from entering the tube to begin with. The separator/filter you ordered will take care of the little stuff from getting to your carb.
