Primer Bulb Question

Could someone please enlighten me on why my primer bulb "collapses" and
doesn't let any fuel get through to my 1982 Johnson 70 horse motor.
This usually happens at higher speeds.
Please help this begginer out!

It sounds like your fuel pump is sucking a vacume. If you are using a 6 gal tank try looseing the gas cap and see if it helps. If you are using an onboard tank check the tank vent and see if it is plugged.
