Primer Solenoid HELP.

I have a 1987 70hp Johnson VRO. I need some help in locating a Primer Solenoid, And how much this may cost. Also can this be repaired without replacing it?

the assembly is sold alot on ebay but the rebuild parts are avalible
if you are not missing you primer sel make sur your getting power to it it should click when you push in key you can find the whole assembly on ebay but you can get rebuild parts on iboats throughbrp or ishop marine
is it leaking from oring or cap or just not putting out

I checked the wires with a test light at the primer solenid so it seems to have power, but no clicking sound . So any other advice?

no clinking, replacement needed. can't be fixed solenoid is shot. the kit is for the gaskets. dealer, expensive, ebay you can find used ones. that is my source.

Someone told me I may be alble to take the primer solenoid apart and clean it, Is this true?

i had no luck on one i did as tash said primer sel is shot
there is one on ebay now dont know how to post link but they want
29 dollars buy it now
