Primer solenoid questions...

Primer solenoid on my 1993 Evinrude 115hp had one of the small nipples break off of the bottom. I have three questions:
1. Is it safe to buy a used one? They are over $200 new, and my wife will SKIN me if I tell her I need more money for the boat this month.
2. Is it possible to replace just the plate where that nipple is? There are 4 screws that hold it on... If so, what is it called?
3. Where is the best place to buy these parts?

Any Bombardier Evinrude dealer should stock this part: 437228, cover and gasket assy.

Another thought is if you find a really cheap used one that all hose ports are good . You could just use the top with the hose ports.
