Im planning on painting my GRP dinghy this weekend and have just been to B&Q and bought some international exterior gloss.
My question is do i need to use primer with it aswell?
They had several primers there but they were all only suitable for wood / metal. There was one tin that was for painting uPVC, but it said 'not suitable for garden furniture' so i was reluctant to buy this incase it effected whatever resin the boat is built from.
Iv decided to use exterior gloss instead of marine paint because im being cheap and iv read many posts by people using dulux weathershield with good results...
so, do i need primer, and if so which primer? or do i just sand the boat down and slap it straight on!?
