Priming oil system on '93 Evinrude 115?

Oil tank ran out a couple of weeks ago, and I filled it up again with new Evinrude 2 stroke oil.

Fed helped me out the other day with the alarm, but also mentioned that I needed to purge the system if I had it open anywhere, including the filler cap.

Can anyone help with how to do this? I gather that I need to disconnect the oil line and pump the bulb to ensure that no air is in the line, but not sure where/how to disconnect it. Is there a "quick connect" type hose connection at the engine? All I could find was a standard "clamp-type" connection right below the fuel connector.

When the tank ran out, it was not totally empty, but the alarm sounded. I immediately shut it off and refilled the tank. Alarm started sounding after running for approximately 10 minutes a few days later.

No- about once per second, but it sped up or slowed down depending on the speed of the engine-

Ok that is the no oil flow. here is how you bleed the pump take the oil line off of the bottom of the pump use the primer ball to get about a 1/2 quart out of the line to make sure there is no air in the line. Hook the motor up to a premix tank of 50-1. Now start the motor and wait for the alarm to go on then put the oil line back on the pump and wait for the alarm to go off, do not pump the primer when you put the line back on. The alarm should go off in a minute or so. The oil line is on the bottom of the pump.

REALLY stupid question now...where's the pump? Is it under the engine cowl, or near the oil tank?

Under the cowling if you are staring at the back of the motor should be on the left front follow the lines from the connector. It is pretty big hard to miss.

I'm wondering why the LOW LEVEL ALARM (A chirp every 30 seconds) didn't go off?
Or did it?

Don't forget to run the fuel tank with premix until the oil usage is confirmed, very important.

Fed- I may have just missed it assuming it was a glitch with everything else going on. I already have premix in the tank, so good to go.
