The ad is from Google, so I don't think it is a link to a virus. I have seen theis multiple times as well, almost clicked it once until I saw the little "X" in the corner.

That would be a poor assumption to make. Just because someone is submitting their virus through google syndication doesn't make it safe. But feel free to click on it
It's along the same lines as the "2 people have un-liked you, click to find out" ad on top. Scam or not, if they don't like me, then obviously I don't like them. I just too lovable.

Luckily there are about a hundred pages that come up in google for how to remove the toolbar/virus if you are foolish enough to actually install it. (no I didn't install it, just went to the site using a throwaway VM)
