Hey Guys,
1st let me say that I have read this forum often but am new to posting so hello, and thanks for your previous answers on a broad range of topics.
I have a 1979 20' Privateer C/C. The original fuel tank was corroded so I Recently cut the old tank out and I m currently awaiting the new one which is in the process of being built (aluminum). My question is when I replace the wood under the deck will resign adhere to pressure treated wood? Do I have to use resin and or glass at all if the wood is just keeping the tank from moving and the deck in a appx 5'x2' area? I am planning on spraying the deck with line-x after the replacement is complete.
Next, the wire and steering cables currently run over the topside of the deck to the console causing a tripping hazard and is quite inconvenient any ideas before the line-x (and while a portion of the floor is up) to get these under the deck?
I keep the boat in the water for 6 months out of the year and would like to keep her for a number of years.
Sorry if this is elementary to some of yaou but I am a fairly new boat owner (3rd season) and like doing these project myself, thanks guys.
