Problem removing a steering wheel - help

Any tips on removing the steering wheel? I'm in the process of removing the old steering helm/cable and I am having great difficulty getting the steering wheel off. I have removed the main shaft nut and three screws but it still won't come off? Is there a secret method I don't know about?

I also had trouble with mine. I pulled on it while my buddy gave the shaft a few good taps, and then it came off. Be careful, when it comes loose, you might fly back! If its really tough, you can get a steering wheel puller.

Had the same prob. years ago.I remember having to either push down in the middle of the wheel while pulling or maybe I had to hit the center with a large punch while pulling on the wheel.There is something to push or hit that will release it.Sorry I dont remember exactly but I hope it gets you on the right track.
