I have 2 questions. 1) I have a 100 Hp Mercury about a 1965 sn# 1758124 the motor starts good when cold and runs very well for about 10 min. or so. Then it starts to lose power, like it starts to lose cylinders. It will run on 5 then on 4 with a little miss here and there, then on 3, on 2, then 1, and will stop, and I can't get it started again. It gets very warm, and it turnes over good, but it will not start until it cools down. This happended 2 times and the 2nd time the coils felt very hot to the touch. Also the wiring harness is wired direct to the motor, and It seams like I have current all the time, because I shut every thing off and the key, and my battery still went dead, any suggestions. 2) What would be a good manual to get for this motor? Good for wiring diagrams, and to doe's. Like water pump replacemant, and stator and coil replacement, Ect. Thanks problem running!!

glass19.6

Is your water pump working, you said it quits when it get hot, do you have a good tell tale stream?
Sounds like it may have overheated and you are toasting the motor thus losing compression. What is the compression on each cylinder?
