problem wiring trim gauge, 1989 Johnson 110

I hate to double post but was getting no response in electronics....

I think the picture below is showing where the sending unit is located. I'm assuming that this is the trim gauge. If it is a limit switch please correct me!

The real question is ... where do the wires go to on the gauge? There is one which looks grayish/brownish with a white stripe and a black wire. These go back to the box where the relays for the trim is located. They were removed from the gauge and not labeled. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Go up to the top of this page and check the sticky "free wiring diagrams" you should be able to find one for your engine. Good luck

Thanks... I'll do that... but just assumed they were for the engine, not for the gauges.

Normally I really like those wiring diagrams.. but the one for tnt just doesn't adequately show how to hook up a gauge.
I found this and think it will solve my problem if I can find the S G I stamped on the back of the gauge. Hope it will help someone else in need of instructions.
