Problem with 1995 Starcraft Islander 191 Listing to Port

I'm hoping that someone has insight on what could be causing my 95 Starcraft Islander (recently purchased used) to list to the port side once the boat is on plane. The boat is stabile and level when the boat is off plane. If you're not familiar with the Islander it's an aluminum, tall profile, cuddy powered by a Mercruiser 3.0 LX (the hull on this boat appears to be in excellent condition). The boat is not taking on water, weight is distributed evenly (I've even compensated by placing more weight on starboard). The problem is worse when the bow/drive is all the way down. The list is somehat lessoned when I raise the bow/drive. Unfortunately when the water is rough and I need the bow down the list is the worst making for scarey conditions. I have a hydro-fin on the outdrive that doesn't seem to make a difference. I can't even count on lowering the port hydraulic trim tab to make a big difference in choppy water. It's very unsettling to operate the boat in rough water and I would really appreciate any help or suggestions.

Chris,

This is one Islander problem I haven't read about.

However, these boats leak alot. That's just a fact. Could you have water being retained someplace on the port side? Maybe pulling up the flooring would reveal some standing water.

Maybe the tilt cylinders are unbalanced in some way, causing the outdrive to angle to port. Trim tabs? Have you had someone watch the tabs to see if they work as you expect under power?

Cutting through big waves is this boat's greatest asset. Only so many things that could cause this problem.
