I have a 1988 Bayliner 3280 with twin 135 Hino deisels. One of the motors shuts off after it has been running awile. It seems like a fuel problem. Any one have any answers?

You're probably right that fuel delivery is being shut off somehow. If it's like most older diesels that have a 12V solenoid to keep the fuel valve open, I would wiggle the connector on the solenoid (and all other connection points all the way up to the helm and "ignition" switch) with the engine running and see if it shuts off. If so you've found your weak connection.

Another approach would be to jump 12V direct from the battery to the fuel solenoid and drive it around. If it never shuts off that proves the original circuit has a weak/intermittent connection someplace. Then you just have to find it.

You could also have a 95% clogged fuel filter but I'm assuming you've checked for that.

Pay attention to the motor mounts. Hino was know to have issues.
