When I press the handle forward on my boat to sit and warm it up, i am not able to get it to rev up a little to warm up. I was told that it could be a cable in the control box is there anything else that will cause this. Also, it seems like the motor is not idling up enough when in neutral, could all of this be caused by cable in control box?

What shifter do you have??Pictures??? The shifter should pull straight out in neutral and move forward.
If your doing that and nothing is happening, then the linkage needs to be adjusted at the motor.
The idle in the water in gear, warm motor, should be 750.
I got the pic of the prop.It a thru hub exhaust. You can use any Force prop.
You just need the right nuts/washers and stuff.
You figure out the pitch? Like I said take it off and search real hard for the #s.
If you can't find anything,go to a dealer and ask them to check the #s.
It looks like it can be rebuilt.A lot cheaper than a new one.J

I solved the problem. A mechanic had put twist ties around the cables that come out of the motor, so the cable was not able to move much.
