It seems that I am having issues with pulling skiers out of the water with my boat. The boat struggles to pull a 200 lbs person out of the water with 3 adults and 3 small kids aboard. Looking for suggestions on what I can do to help out with this issue.

I have a VIP Vantage 202 with the 5.0 Mercruiser 220 HP engine. I have the original aluminum prop that came wth it, but the salesman talked me into putting a stainless steel prop, so I have never have used it with the original prop.

Go to the top of the page and read the sticky. We need more details. Engine and drive combo, current prop, current rpm, etc.

Re: Problems with skiers and hole shot

Very seldom do we find the best cruising prop is a good ski prop. Pulling skiiers or water toys puts a lot of strain on the motor. We normally see 1 prop for normal running and a prop about 4" less in pitch for pulling a skier or toys. A lot depends on what prop you have now as far as pitch and top rpm with a normal load not pulling anything.

Let us know what you have and what the top rpm is. I'll bet we can come up with some suggestions.
