'01, 3.5yrs. old, 425 hrs., salt water use, trailered, always flushed and maintained (zincs replaced), and run 40% of the time between 5000-6000 RPM. I just needed to replace the entire "pan" above the flush out port because of a hole worn through the exhaust passage that was causing the flush out plug to melt, excessive noise and hard starts on the water. The shift linkage and steering box was corroded and sticky and needed replacement as well. Suzuki wouldn't cover anything because it was out of warranty (I had 3 yr) even though there had been rumors of occasion problems with this due to potential bad castings with the exhaust passage there. When I called them directly to ask them to reconsider the technical service reps decision I was treated VERY poorly by their customer service rep named "Harley". A truly rude wise ***. I know that legally I was nowhere being out of warranty, but I had hoped that due to the severity and premature nature of the problem they would stand behind their product and it's excellent reputation. I am disappointed to say the least after having to shell out over $2000.00 to fix the problems. Back on the water now, but will never buy another Zuke.

About the rude part, they all need some good humor<br />pills, or maby a training session on how to treat the people that buy there motors.
