Hi, I recently bought a 1972 Glastron 16 footer and am planning to completely restore it by next year.
I am wanting to have it professionally painted, but i have no idea where to start.
How much is a typical paint job for my size of boat?
Referrals would be appreciated also, I am located in the Quad Cities, Iowa/Illinois; anyone know of any painters close to me?

Need to answer a few more questions of your intentions...what's typical to you, two tone, pin stripping etc. etc.? What is the current state of what's on there? Does it or do you want it stripped to the bare surface? Who's going to do the prep work? Why you don't feel the desire to attempt it yourself? Then get some local guesstimates...I know not much help, just saying!

Edit: And welcome to the forum! :)

Re: Professional Painting Costs???

I can base a good estimate based on my previous automotive costs for painting. I have done all prep work, including sanding, any necessary fairing/bodywork, and masked everything off ready to shoot, then towed a car into a shop, handed them the paint, and they have painted 3 coats on an entire car for 200 dollars. The painters around here charge about 80 dollars an hour for their time. Give them beer and they treat you good ;)
