Looks very nice! Did you build the "pods" yourself or buy them pre-made?

Thanks for the comments!<br /><br />I doodled with the camo pattern on paper a bit, then after priming the aluminum, used white chalk to draw very faint dotted lines for the main trunks and branches. These were painted in grey first, then the beige background, another coat of grey and beige, then went over the beige with grey to create the smaller branches. It was pretty easy and actually fun. With my 16 year old daughter helping, it took an sunny afternoon.<br /><br />The pods were built and installed by Dodie Miller in Clearlake, TX. They are constructed as tanks, pressure tested, than installed on the transom. Dodie builds aluminum fuel tanks for one of the big bass boat manufacturers. I forget which.

I looked at your boat again, I really do like that camoflage! That's a pretty sophisticated john boat, I would love to try one like that out here on the WI river backwaters. Looks great.
