Finished my trailer rebuild for Skanky Beast. I know this should go in the trailer section, but no one has trailer projects there, just trailer questions, so I felt it was better here because it was a project.

Anyway, its an EZ Loader, I painted it with enamel that comes close to the original color, new rollers, wiring, lights, winch, coupler, all that.

GodsBeast, good eye, since you can only see part of it. Its a Cannondale Super V 900 with Truvativ cranks, Deore XT throughout, XTR Titanium cassette, Fox coilover rear shock, stiffer spring up front for my 200 pound arse....I have it down to 28 pounds, took a half pound off just stripping the Imron paint off and polishing the aluminum frame. Decent bike, but while the mountain bike rags say it is "old school", I seem to have no problem, and find it to be fast and comfortable. Of course, I started mountain biking back in the mid 80s when a good bike weighed 35 pounds and the only suspension was your arse.....

The lower bike is my better half's Giant, which I hand-me-downed when I bought the C-dale....

Screw them old school remarks, Mine surports my 200 lb arse also. I think the proof is in the pudding, while we are still ridding what they call Old School, they are still trading in last years "the best thing on the market" for today's "best thing on the market." I'm content hanging with em on the Killer. I actually bought mine, when our dept. started a bike patrol. I beat patrol cars to a few calls, takin shortcuts. The Federal Grant stopped and they cut out the bike patrol. So, I still have a good bike to ride. No problem with the Giant either, my hand me down is a Huffy!

Just one of GodsBeast's

Trailer looks awesome. Alot of sanding I suppose? I have a vintage shorlander thats need some serious TLC. Your pics gave me some inspiration. By the way, I built for Cannondale teams back in the old school days. I remember back when we were taking old steel schwinn cruiser frames and racing them downhill!

chunk

Chunky, it was a whole mess o' sandin', but the orbital sander did the work while I held onto it. It wasn't difficult, but I hate sanding, so I was glad to have it done. Of course, when its paintin' time for the boat, I'll have more sandin' to hate. Can't wait....
