I have been reading and searching this forum for a while. I have yet to find anything on how much material anyone has used on their projects. I am trying to get an idea on how much resin, glass, and flotation foam others have used on their projects from stringers up. I know everyones experience is going to be different. My project is an '88 Baretta SS 19' Volvo Penta 151AQ I/O. I have already torn out floor and almost all of the floatation and stringers. Just trying to get a real good idea of how much resin to purchase and from what source (local or via web) that would make the most sense for my project.

Re: Projected Project Cost

16.5 ft tri-hull reflooring/transom center console conversion.

11 gallons of poly resin, 30 square yards of mat, 1 4x8 sheet of 3/4 ACX, 1 sheet of 4x8 5/8th ACX, and 3 sheets of 4x8 1/2 inch ACX. 300 1.25 inch stainless screws, 100 1.5 inch stainless screws, 100 1/2 inch stainless screws, 2 gallons acetone, 20 pairs of latex gloves. 2 8 cubic foot foam kits. 1 gallon rubberized non-skid for floor.

About $700 spent so far.

That does not include the new wiring and circuit breaker switch panel, stainless destroyer wheel, paint, windshield, cushions for seats and additional wood as well as new lights and horn that are needed to complete boat.

Then its trailer time. I need to tear it down, sandblast it, repaint in, get new rollers, lights, hitch assembly, and fab up some guides.
Also may as well get new wheels, tires, and rebuilt bearings. They have Bearing Buddies, but best to make sure.

Lastly, a new water pump impeller for the 125 horse motor, just to be sure.

I hemourage cash right and left on this thing, but its still cheaper than a new boat.
