I have a 1997 Proline 240S cc with a Yamaha 250 EFI. I like the boat a lot but do have a few issues and wondering if others have experienced the same. First issue is the swim platform. It is so low to the water as the boat rocks it causes a pressurized situation and constantly sprays salt water on the engine and more. It also tends to cause drag on take off because it is so low and has that lip that hangs down ~3 inches. I like having the platform for what it is designed for and do not want to remove. I have drilled a few ½” holes in the sides to help relieve the pressure but it is not enough. I’m thinking of cutting/notching the rear across the whole length (maybe up 2 inches or so) I think it will still be strong enough but nervous to make the cut. Any others seen this problem? Have you done anything about it or just live with it?
