Prop 1998 force 40 hp

I am having a hard time locating a prop for a 1998 force 40 hp outboard. The numbers on the prop are 48-42738-A10-8P ANy help would be great!

Welcome to iboats.

That number is a standard Mercury prop, so you should be able to find one at any Mercury dealer. Or at Mercurypartsexpress dot com.

Well, 48 42738A11 is a Mercury Black Max prop, 8 pitch.

Did a quick search here there are 4 8" props listed.

Thanks to both of you, I was able to find that much also (the 4 listed), but on one of them it says new hub will not fit old hub styles. How do I know what I am ordering will fit?

Skip the "hustler" props, as they have their own hub design and keep changing it.

Pass on the Vortex as well, unless you want to buy their hub separately.

The Michigan Match should be a direct fit.
