I have a 94 Yamaha 115 on a 18' center console, it will run close to 40, but WOT goes too high, up to 6,000. I currently have an aluminum 13 1/4 X 17 prop, I was thinking about going to a 13X19 or a 14X19. Right now it gets on plane very easily. Think this would be enough prop to get me in a better RPM range ?
Also, I was considering the Solas Amita aluminum, any experience with these, good or bad ? I don't know much about all the different brands of props out.

thanks all

Re: Prop advice, 94 Yamaha 115

Going up 2" in pitch with the same style prop should get rpms down to around 5500, right where you want to be.
With speed approaching 40's I'd consider going for a steel prop, but a 19" SS prop might pull your rpms down a little too much.
Then there's mounting height etc to play with, i guess the prop/setup gurus will chime in and give their opinion...
