Advice appreciated!

I have a 1998 Bayliner 2050LS. The boat originally had a 305 (2barrel). The previous owners did not winterize properly. I bought the boat and put in a 350 (Vortec). Also put a holley 4 barrel with an eldebrock manifold. I don’t know if it has the stock prop but I would like to upgrade anyway. Its kinda dinged up.

Specs:
Current Prop Serial # 48-832832 C1 21 (I don’t know what this means??)

Drive Serial # 1.62R OL113663

Current Speed:
GPS (50-52 mph)
Stock Tach (5000 rpms)

I think I’m close to the rev limiter (Thunderbolt). Sometimes I think I might hit it.

We do mostly crusing around the lake and pulling the kids on tubes. I would like a prop that will plane a little quicker without to much sacrifice of top end and drop my RPMS to 4600-4800 (spec). From what I've read a 4 blade might do the trick.

Thanks again for your time!!

A good prop will help BUT anything bigger that lowers the WOT RPM is not going to be a good pick for water sports

If water sports is your number one goal just use some right hand restraint and dont rev the motor so high :D

If you install trim tabs that would allow a better hole shot and you way be able to get good results with a 4 blade prop or a bigger 3 blade

Thanks!

I just talked to our local Boat Dealer ship and they suggested a High 5 (5blade).
From what they said it should improve all aspects? The only down fall is there are spendy (600)! I believe it was a 21 pitch.
