I have a 200HP 2000 Johnson (Carbureted) on a 19 Stratos (Fishing/Fiberglass). Currently using 25 pitch 4 blade renegade prop and 6 easy slide manually jackplate. 5800 at WOT, 62 MPH (GPS).

From all the reading I have done out here, I think my numbers look good. However, I feel that the whole shot is poor, and would prefer getting on plane faster as apposed to speed.

What would be the recommended changes to do this? I dont have the motor height measurements, but my motor seems to ride very low when trimmed all the way down (I know it sounds backwards)?

Also, while changing out the trim motor, I think I may have messed something up on the tach. Now when I startup tach works fine but stops when the rpms start going up and bounces back when I hit the trim button
Think I may have something grounding out, but that is a different story

Thanks in advance for youre and look forward to any thought on how to get my boat on plane faster
