Can I use prop from merc inline 6 on merc v6 the prop fits but theres a gap where the prop meets the gear case

Some of those you could change the thrust washer and make'em work. Some have too little of blade area to work on the V6 though.

There's a 1/2" Difference in the Gearcase Diameter......

No,... They're Not Interchangeable.........

Thanks Bond-o have since got new prop (the correct one one allthough a bit to course pitch wise)and all works fine.Come next season will sort out the right pitch .
