Prop compatibility question

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't find a result through the search engine.
Will the prop from an Alpha I generation II (2001 Mercruiser lower unit) fit an Alpha I generation I (1989 Mercruiser lower unit)?

I have been offered a free prop but would like to know if it is compatible. Pitch is a 19 but irrelevant as this will serve only as a backup prop with which to limp home.

Ayuh,.... On Mercruisers, you can use any prop that fits a Mercury large gear case outboard, or any of the single prop outdrives, except the Bravo IIs...
Mod.1s, Alpha 1s, Gen.IIs, 'n Bravo Is, all interchange...
