. What year is your motor. Solas and BRP and Powertech all make Stainless props for the 15 hp motors.

There's not such thing as a high performance prop for that underpowered 15 HP-OB. What are you trying to accomplish. Top hole shot, best top end speed, nice fuel consumption ? Any prop will achieve top performance once it's correctly dialed for your current application & load.

For that quest will firstly need to order an induction tach to check wot revs as usually loaded when playing with prop pitches. Ear taching doesn't work...

top end speed, mainly just for bragging rights...there's a guy with an old 20hp merc that can just barely pass me. I would love to pass him with my little 15hp. I don't know my rpm's cause I don't have a tach for it but i'm turning an omc 9-1/4 x 10 and my gps top speed was 25.1mph. I see PowerTech makes a SS prop but none of the prop shops around here have one or have ever sold one.

To get more speed try waxing the bottom of your boat. Also not knowing the rpm's you could try a 11 or 12 pitch prop. Also if you can raise your motor an inch you might gain some speed. Less drag.

If wanting to beat that old 20 HP, buy a induction Hardline tach, are cheap. Don't play with less pitch props blindly as OB could be over revving for that particular load and not knowing about it, much worse if lightly loaded. Don't hallucinate with max speed achieved, wot revs is all...

If OB sits at the Tip Top transom spot while correctly trimmed, lower leg will have the least water drag, if rising OB passing sweet spot prop will aerate on choppy, windy water cond and at tight close turns at speed due to poor water bed height for prop to grip top, best forward prop thrust is lost.
