Hi Guys,
I currently have a 2052 Trophy with a 06 200hp Optimax. I usually travel around 90km one way to my fishing grounds. I am wondering if the current prop I have, which is a quicksilver 48 16316 A519P is the most suitable for my use? My most important aspect to consider is fuel economy.
Thanks
Chris

I can't help you with the details on your prop except that it is a 19" pitch.
Your 200 hp will use about 20 gallons per hour at wot. Whether pushing a houseboat or a runabout.
You need a prop and setup that gets the most speed for a given throttle setting.
If you want to identify the best speed and prop you need a good flow meter.
Some meters can do real time calculations for gph, and mpg.
Speaking very generally your best cruising speed could be from just on plane to about 1000 rpm higher.
If you get us your present wot rpm and gps speed we may be able to tell how well your setup is working.

That's a 14x19 SS prop. Anything else we would need current stats

Mercury's new Enertia ECO prop claims 10% better economy at cruising (30 mph) speed.

It's available in 19,21,and 23 pitches.
