Hi,
We just purchased a 1985 16.5 tri hull Canaventure with a 1979 70hp Evenrude. It runs great. We want to pull our kids but lack power out of the hole. It takes a minute or two to get going and we are really bogging but once they are out we get about 30 mph. We wondered if changing the prop size &/or pitch would help. We don't know the boats weight, the tach doesn't work- so no RPM, we have had up to 2 adults and the 3 kids in the boat and probaly weigh 600-800 lbs but even dropping an adult didn't seem to make much difference. The prop has the numbers 2 1 7 stamped into it. We measured the diameter it was about 13". Any ideas?

Thanks!
