Hello I have a 20ft smokercraft pontoon with a 2000 Johnson 50HP motor it is now time to replace the prop and I am wondering if I should change it up a little right now the motor has a 12 1/4 x 15 and runs anywhere from 5k to 52k rpm at wot I feel like I could get better numbers with a different prop or should I just be safe and continue with the 12 1/4 x 15 thanks for any help

Welcome to Iboats,

Without knowing wot rpm numbers achieved as loaded, combo goes dead. Is there a installed tach on board ? Going per exact same new prop is useless as has not been previously tached to check if performed right for your current application. Check with a prop selecor which would be a good starting prop.

Happy Boating
