1) Looking for quicker take off - quicker up on my slalom
2) Current props are all Merc Black Max or quicksilver Aluminum 14.25x21
4) WOT is around 4200 / 40(ish)mph with 4 people in the boat (560lbs?)
5) 3.0L Alpha1
6) 2005 Bayliner 195 classic

Looking at some 4 blade props Alpha 4 (Aluminum) and Michigan Apollo(SS) both are 14x20 Looking for someone who has used these props, and did you see a noticable difference from the stock 3 blade prop

If your typical load is 4 your presently not even within your suggested wot rpm range 4400 to 4800.
Its not likely you will find someone with the exact setup running a 4 blade.
As suggested by QC the 4 blade can produce all the things your looking for
and a 18 should help with your rpm.
Plus stay on plane easier at reduced throttle, and handle better around the dock.
It will likely lose some top end.I lean toward the Solas props just because I've seen more actual results.
Changing material and number of blades introduces more variables making results a little more unpredictable.
Stick with aluminum for now.
You could also just go to a 19" 3 blade It would help your hole shot get your rpm up about 300 to 400 more
and lose a little less speed.Might retain present loaded speed.
You may have to watch the rpm with a light load.

Good call on the Solas 4 blade. Tried it out today and it worked well. Took a couple MPH off the top end but made up for it on the bottom end. It pulled a lot quicker which made me happy on the slalom ski. Wound up with around 39mph @ 4500 with 4 in the boat - might be a bit more speed to be had, Minnetonka was a bit rough today.
