boat is '96 lund tyee, with 4.3lx Alpha one. currently running a ss 21", unsure of make. it is 13.75" dia. i'm getting 4900 rpm at 46mph(guage, unfortunatly, don't have my gps back yet. i'm happy with that as i usually have more weight than when i got these numbers, and am looking for a 23"

Anyway, my question is about dia.
I see props from 13.5- 15 ", how much difference will this make? i can fit up to 15" dia, but not sure what to find. i see most are 14.25" dia,

also, what make would you recommend?

and also, what about number of blades?, i see 3 is very common and 4 or 5 is less common, but still avail. what are the benefits of each? thanks.

Re: prop for lund tyee

If you go the the iboats prop store page and read the helps at the top of the page it will help you understand prop design.
You don't normally select a prop based on diameter.
Diameter follows design.Generally a prop intended for really heavy boats,
pontoons etc will have a larger diameter and comparitively low pitch.
Select your prop by the pitch and the activity you intend it for.
Generally a 4 blade helps improve low end performmance hole shot
staying on plane etc.at a slight sacrifice of top end.
If you have a ss now you should probably stick with it as going back to al
may be dissapointing.Turning point Hustler props do have close to ss performance at aluminum prices.
If you go to a 23" pitch it will decrease your hole shot and probably increase top end a little. It may not work well for skiing.
A vented prop may help with hole shot without affecting top end.
Someone will probably be along with some prop suggestions.
