I am in the process of buying a ss prop for my 1996 mercury force 120 hp, but I have no idea what is the right pitch for my motor. I have a 1996 17ft bayliner and I want an overall prop any suggestions will help.

A 19 pitch should serve well as a good all around prop.

Your motor uses the same props as a 115/125 Mercury, as it has a Merc lower unit.

WOT rpm is 4750-5250.

If your engine is putting out it's rated power, I agree a 19" pitch. Although a SS prop is a bit harder to spin then an aluminum prop.

I recenty purchased a prop for my 1996 Bayliner 1600 with a Force 75. We started with a Mercury prop and figured out it had a Force lower unit. I went with a 15 Pitch but I dont have the horsepower you do. If you usually have alot of people in the boat you may be happier with a 17 pitch.
