I have just put a new 60 horsepower Yamaha four stroke on a Lund Alaskan. The boat ways about 750 pounds not including the anchor and fishing stuff I put in it which probably isn't that much additional weight.

I do not have a tach for it. Does anyone have experience with this to recommend the correct prop?

This is going to vary greatly between 2 boats of near the same design due to weight, hull configuration, etc...
The best investment you can make is a tachometer...that's the gauge that tells it all.
You will have no other way to tell if you are running the right prop or not, without one...

You can try here, but it will only give you a ballpark to start in:

Michigan Wheel
