Need a bit of help with a new to me boat. I waterski and barefoot regularly, the boat can yank me no problems on the ski out of the hole. Working on getting my top speed up a bit so the motor doesn't need to work so hard to get up to barefoot speed. So... The holeshot is good, if driven correctly and weighted correctly it will YANK the handle out of my hands. I'm trying to get my top speed up.

Current Prop - 18.5x15P (Think it's a Michigan)
WOT - GPS shows 40mph @ 6200 RPM
Engine - 1982 Evinrude 140 hp
Boat - 1974 16ft Cee Bee Avenger (Dry weight - 750 no engine)

Thanks guys!

If you increase pitch 3" it should put you at "about" 5600 and 43 mph.
It will slow your hole shot but with it being so strong now you can probably manage.

18-1/2" diameter prop?

Isn't your WOT rpm range about 4500-5500rpm?
