hi,any advice on starting point for a prop with my limited info. trying to set up a 14ft hydrostream vandal. v-pad bottom,recored,5in manual jackplate, total appx weight 1000lbs rigged with motor. power is a 1994 mercury 100hp elpto 4cyl. w/4.25 gearcase,2.07-1 ratio.rpm needs to be around 5250 max.this motor was given to me for free, but it had no prop, ive only ran it on a stand .its now rigged on the boat and I need a prop.some say not the best motor but free works for me. intended use is 2 seater, lakes, no tubing/wakeboarding etc. holeshot is not as impoartant as top speed. can raise the motor but not really wanting so surface the prop at this time just looking to get on the water, max speed at proper rpm. any advice will be very helpful. limited selection with the gearcase- ss or aluminum? rake for bowlifting? dia x pitch? will consider a lwp if surfacing a chopper or cleaver would be best. thanks.

Re: prop help please.

I cannot speak to the surfacing or cleaver props, but on a conventional prop for that boat, rake is good. Likely need 23" pitch or so. I presume you have an accurate tach and a GPS, to take measurements?

I would be interested in your performance, when you get her tricked.
